Krishnamurti Costa, aka "Antropus" currently works as a Senior Digital Artist specializing in modeling. Today his work can be seen in movies like The Avengers, Rango, Pan's Labyrinth, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon among many others.
His personal career includes wins in three editions of the CGSociety Challenges, some of the most prestigious competitions of their kind on the internet.
He was born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, his teenage fascination with computer graphics and an Amiga computer fueled his interest in teaching himself CG. After working as a Banker for over 15 years he made the leap, moving to US in 2004 where he landed his first professional job in the film industry.
His tools of choice are ZBrush, Maya and Photoshop, used both for his personal and professional work. "Antropus" also has his works, texts and interviews published in several websites, books and magazines.

To learn a new technique is the simplest thing. What you really need is a good art background to succeed doing CG in general. The best CG artists I know are great traditional sculptors, painters, etc. More art fundamentals can make your transition very easy sometimes. The mantra is "curiosity and hard work...".
